BIRGIT GRASCHOPF
: SILENTLY PRESENT
March 14 to April 18, 2026
Together with ADELHEID RUMETSHOFER, Birgit Graschopf is exhibiting new works at Galerie Rodler Gschwenter.
The exhibition brings two Austrian artists into dialogue:
Adelheid Rumetshofer in painting and Birgit Graschopf in expanded photography. Both interpret space, depth, and presence in new ways.
Birgit Graschopf’s work begins with photography but consistently transcends its traditional boundaries. She combines the image, the medium, and the architectural context to create complex spatial situations.
Adelheid Rumetshofer’s works emerge from subtle layers of color—
—created through repeated application and removal. Color functions not merely as a means of representation, but as an element in its own right that creates and questions spatiality.
Birgit Graschopf will be present on Saturday, April 18, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Galerie Rodler Gschwenter, 1070 Vienna, Zollergasse 29.
