Parallel Vienna 2025 will once again take place at the iconic Otto Wagner Areal, a former psychiatric hospital site in the west of Vienna, whose pavilions were designed by Vienna's leading architect at the time, Otto Wagner. The City of Vienna is currently developing this site into a cultural area with a music university, exhibition spaces and artists' studios.
Galerie Rudolf Leeb took part in Parallel for the first time in 2017 with a wall exposure and photographs on sandpaper by Birgit Graschopf. The 2025 show will provide an insight into the artist's current work, from hand-colored photographs on concrete, fiber cement and watercolor paper to motifs on colorful sandpaper. This presentation is also a tribute by the gallery to its artist.

In a second position, we are showing works by Zhanina Marinova, who will present the tenth chapter of her project "INTERSTICE". In today's language, the word "interstice" often refers to a niche in a larger space, a partial space or a specific event. Another meaning is a short period of time that can be used for activities that have nothing to do with the main purpose. Marinova often finds herself between reality and the realms of fantasy, memories, familiarity and strangeness. Through her works and site-specific installations, the artist creates visual metaphors for these moments and niches.
