Apollo was gripped by a guilty conscience.

As the patron saint of ageing Western ideals of beauty and art, Apollo no longer seems to have much to say to contemporary discourse. It is a similar story with the automobile: as a guarantor of freedom and mobility, it should have long since become obsolete, yet it stubbornly lingers on the roads en masse. Some myths persist, even though central aspects of their narrative no longer correspond to reality.

In two site-specific installations, the works enter into a dialog with the architecture of a garage from the 1930s in order to trace the endurance of myths and explore contemporary and sustainable narrative forms.

An exhibition with works by Eva Eichinger, Emma Kling, Lorenz Kunath, Matthias Ramsey and Paul Robas, with a text by Cornelia Lein .

The project, initiated and organized by Emma Kling and Lorenz Kunath, was sponsored by the Neubau Cultural Commission and supported by Bildrecht.
